Our Story...
Nine Yards Later came into being very naturally through conversations that kept happening again and again with people who loved Maharani sarees. Our customers wanted to gift sarees to their friends and family on different occasions.
Somewhere in those moments it became clear that gifting was never just about giving a saree but about the thought behind it, because a saree already carries history memory and emotion and when it is gifted it deserves to feel personal, and that is where the idea of customization came in, not as something decorative but as something intentional, something that makes a gift feel real and remembered.
9YL is not a sister brand or a separate extension but simply a continuation of that feeling, born from the desire to make gifting more meaningful, and the name 9YL came from where it all started with a saree, nine yards of fabric that hold stories and traditions passed from one person to another, making each gift less about the object itself and more about the connection it carries.
